What would this look like in my business?
See how the same questions apply to a plumber, a clinic, a bakery, and a coaching business.
A field service business, such as plumbing
Map request, booking or dispatch, job completion, invoicing, follow-up, and reporting. A common first question is whether the website or phone request becomes a job without being re-entered. Do not automate emergency triage or pricing exceptions until the process and owner are explicit.
A regulated practice, such as dental or therapy
Map referral or booking, intake, appointment, billing, recall, and records. Begin with low-risk mechanical work such as approved intake handoffs or document checks. Clinical judgment, privacy obligations, consent, and professional rules require separate verification.
An order-based business, such as a bakery or shop
Map order, payment, production, inventory, pickup or delivery, and reorder. A good early project might create one production view from approved orders. Keep substitutions, rush orders, and inventory exceptions visible to a person.
A project or knowledge business, such as coaching or consulting
Map discovery, payment, onboarding, sessions, follow-up, and content or notes. A useful first handoff is often payment to onboarding. Keep personal advice, client-specific decisions, and sensitive notes outside unapproved automation tools.
